This interview was taped  October 2008. As it started I thought Louis C.K. was going to wax nostalgic about how much easier and better life was in the good old days, which is an concept I don’t believe. I believe that no matter what year you’re talking about -life’s challenging.

I was pleasantly surprised and agree with his thesis that we have amazing technology that doesn’t make people happy. I need some philosophical minds to explain how the root of happiness and contentment has been and will always be inside each individual. The natural world is spectacular. Advances in technology are amazing. Will they make us happy? No. Our relationship with ourselves and others brings happiness.
