NicobobinusMy kids don’t think Monty Python is funny. My brother and I do and frequently use  Python lines and references in conversation. One thing everyone agrees on is that Nicobobinus by   Terry Jones, a Python, is one of the best children’s book ever!  It’s the story of Nicobobinus, a boy who could do anything, and his friend Rosie, who set off to discover the Land of Dragons. At once they are propelled into a series of adventures, some terrifying and some hilarious. On their way they meet the Golden Man, murderous monks and a band of pirates.

When I taught  I frequently segued from one topic to another with a Python, “And now for something completely different…”

This week being the 40 anniversary of Monty Python’s Flying Circus I’ve been going through videos and  putting together a post about my favorite  Python sketches. Meanwhile Daily Beast put together a fabulous collection. I especially enjoyed The Spanish Inquisition. I hope you have fun watching. Don’t hurt yourself trying to create your own silly walk!
