I had intended to write about something entirely different today until I happened to see this video- Grocery Store Musical. The song is goofy but watching the reaction of the real NYC shoppers was wonderful. It made me smile and I hope it gives you something to smile about today. You may look around at fellow shoppers the next time you go to the grocery store and be tempted to burst into song.

“For our latest mission, six undercover actors burst into song in a grocery store in Queens. Three minutes and lots of silly choreography later, they returned to their roles as shoppers and stock boys. The mission was filmed with hidden robotic, lipstick, and wearable cameras.”

The video was done by a group called Improv Everywhere.

“Improv Everywhere causes scenes of chaos and joy in public places. The group was created in August of 2001 by Charlie Todd, Improv Everywhere has executed over 85 missions involving thousands of undercover agents. The group is based in New York City.”
