Canadian singer/composer Loreena McKennitt is self-managed, self-produced, and the head of her own internationally successful record label, Quinlan Road.

She introduces herself on her website and leads us to some of her thinking which inspires her song writing. “My starting point is the belief that, in one way or another, we are all an extension of each other’s history. Wanting to learn about our neighbours is also a desire to learn about ourselves.”         “Seek balance and space, and solitude.”

Miss McKennitt asks thoughtful questions and explores answers through her music. Her website is content rich and well worth exploring. http://www.quinlanroad.com/homepage/index.asp

There were many more songs I wanted to post. I narrowed it down to these which include a few favorites and some which were new to me. She is one of Alexis’ favorites.

‘Cast your eyes on the ocean. Cast your soul to the sea.’

“These are my dreams – so simple, so few.”

Huron (Beltane Fire Dance) fusion of rhythms!

I think Alexis loves this one as much as I do.
